It appears the era of paid news in New Brunswick has begun, as Irving-owned Brunswick News Inc. rolls out its paywall.

As J-Source reported last week, the Irving family-owned Brunswick News Inc. is implementing a hard paywall for the online home of its newspapers. It appears that the era of paid news in New Brunswick has begun.

The homepage for the St. John-based Telegraph Journal now prompts you to sign in to access "all Brunswick News Inc. publications from around the province." Though, as of Monday at 3:30 p.m. EST, content is still available through Canadaeast.com. It's unclear how long that will last.
